Info on tools used in story:

For the tools used in this story, I started with a few basic ideas such as using NG+7 for the building names as well as using the Anagram generator for the story title playing on the motif at the beginning of the passage.

As for Char NG, I chose to use this anytime I wanted a machine to have indiscernible/broken dialog that sounded like it made sense, but was still off.

Finally for the Oblique strategy cards, I utilized those as a way to progress the story. For “What would your closest friend do?” I decided to give Chud a companion (something I didn’t originally want to do.) For “Revelation (a warm feeling)" I decided to make this friendship the crux of the entire narrative. As for “Overtly resist change” I wanted Chud to be steadfast in his particular friendship, rather than just looking for friends in general. Finally for “Use an old idea” I thought it’d be fun to return to the “Boy named Sue” motif and have the oven’s death be an orchestrated act of trial in hopes to make Chud a better person.
